It Started With a Pickup and a Chainsaw

Driven by a passion for excellence, Rick and Karen built Eagle Rock Timber from the ground up. Their dedication, and a team of qualified professionals, has made us a well-rounded general contractor known for high-quality results in both the public and private sectors.

1. 1976

   Rick Gokey starts with a pickup and a chainsaw, selling firewood around Pocatello and Idaho Falls.

2. 1988

   Purchases 10 acres for a home and office; forest service contracts clearing timber for roads fuel growth.

3. 1990

   Rick and Karen Harmer join forces, moving from timber into forest roads and campground construction.

4. Today

   Bridges, highways, water and sewer, demolition, commercial builds, design-build, and construction management across the West.
